19 Oct Business relations at the pavilions – comparing Italy to other countries present at Expo Milano 2015: Germany
Today, Germany is certainly the leading country in Europe. The data regarding institutional and trade relations between Italy and Germany justifies the decision to analyse, in this section, the route inside the German Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015.
In fact, Germany, together with Switzerland, has built its own pavilion fully in line with Expo’s central theme: “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.” Specifically, great attention is paid to raising awareness in order to encourage people to take action, seeking innovative ideas for sustainable nutrition.
Even the external structure of the German pavilion focuses on the theme of eco-sustainability and the use of cutting-edge technologies. Among these there are the “Idea Seedlings”, actual solar trees, which, during the day, use sunlight to trap the energy with which they will be lit at night, creating a picturesque effect while saving energy. Interactivity with visitors is encouraged also inside the pavilion, thanks to a “seedboard” on which images and videos are projected throughout the visit.
The route ends with the repeated slogan “Be Active”, one of the main features that characterises the German population, which, today, all other European countries consider an example to be followed.
